After two months of dynamic Zoom learning, Maharat’s Adult–Child Bat Mitzvah Leadership Lab culminated this weekend with a special in-person gathering in New York, led by Rabba Wendy Amsellem ’18, Director of the Beit Midrash Program and Halakha Faculty, and Emily Bell ’27. Throughout the five-part series, young women ages 11–14 and their adults explored halakha and engaged deeply in Torah study, covering topics such as Torah reading, kiddush and havdalah, hagbah and gelilah, and more. At the closing event, participants brought their learning to life, putting their new skills and insights into practice and embodying meaningful Torah leadership together.
