Maharat Ruth Friedman is a member of the inaugural class of Yeshivat Maharat. She currently teaches Jewish Text at the Charles E. Smith Jewish Day Schools Upper School in Rockville, Maryland, where her primary focus is Talmud. Maharat Friedman previously served as clergy at Ohev Sholom Congregation in Washington, DC from 2013-2023. She also served as visiting scholar at Nairobi Hebrew Congregation while she and her family were living in Kenya from 2023-2024.
