Rabba Rachel Kohl Finegold

Rabba Rachel (“Rakhel”) Kohl Finegold is the spiritual leader of Moriah Congregation in Deerfield, IL. She previously served as clergy at Congregation Shaar Hashomayim in Montreal and at Anshe Sholom B’nai Israel Congregation in Chicago. She participated in the second cohort of the Clergy Leadership Incubator (CLI) Fellowship and has been a participant and staff for M² - the Institute for Experiential Jewish Education. She has served as a vice president of the International Rabbinic Fellowship and the President of the Montreal Board of Rabbis. Rabba Finegold was ordained as part of the inaugural class of Yeshivat Maharat, and then became the first Orthodox woman to serve as synagogue clergy in Canada. She lives in Deerfield with her husband, Rabbi Avi Finegold, and their three daughters.
