Jacquelynn Burmester

Jacquelynn (Jacquie) Burmester is the Operations and Development Assistant at Maharat. She graduated from Union College in the class of 2020 with a double-major in Psychological Science and German Studies and has completed extensive graduate level coursework at the Jewish Theological Seminary of America. She served as President and Kosher Kitchen Chair for Hillel as well as the administrative assistant for the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life during her undergraduate studies at Union. At JTS, Jacquie was the Jewish Life Director/Resident Director for graduate students. Jacquie has also sat on the Women’s League Seminary Synagogue advisory committee, the Germantown Student Education Fund board, and received fellowship awards for her work with students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Jacquie is a passionate advocate who also enjoys reading, writing, and whichever craft-based hobby she finds next.
